Entry Requirements
No particular entry requirement is necessary for this level. This course is aimed for adults who would like to improve their core compteneces (basic skills) in the English language.
Learning Outcomes
  • Demonstrate the ability to recognise the alphabet, to form syllables and to understand and use basic vocabulary and phrases in oral and written form
  • Demonstrate the ability to read and understand short simple sentences, notices and signs
  • Demonstrate the ability to write through the use of pictures, symbols, words, phrases and simple sentences and to write personal details as required in basic form-filling
  • Demonstrate the ability to listen and understand clearly articulated speech of immediate and personal interest

oral and written exercises, dicussions, explanations, role plays and out-of-class activities
