Learning Outcomes

• The different zones in a workshop: workbench and working bay. 
• The distribution of fire fighting equipment: type and proper use according to the hazard. 
• The importance of kits: first aid kit; emergency bulb kit; road safety kit (jacket, triangle, etc). 
• The cleaning of oil spills and the effect of oil spills on various parts of the vehicle. 
• The protective clothing necessary: safety shoes; gloves (nitrile, leather, and latex); safety glasses; face masks; dust masks. 
• The importance of portable light and portable tools. 
• The identification of the basic tools and equipment used in maintenance (spanners; screwdrivers, sockets, torque wrench, mallets and hammers). 
• The handling of such tools and the proper use according to duties. 
• The maintenance of these tools which may affect the safety of the operator.

Certification/Award
