Learning Outcomes
The course is a hands-on programme, focusing on the processes and techniques of printmaking. Throughout the course learners will be able to choose an appropriate printing technique to adapt their own visual ideas.  The learners will also be introduced to the ethical process of registration,  signing and numbering of original prints.  Printing Techniques:
Monotype Printing  
Relief Printing - Linoleum and Wood cutting.
• Planning and printing in Colour using both the multi-matrix and the reduction method.
 
Collography:
This medium will be treated as a relief printing method and as an introduction to Intaglio printing.
 
Intaglio:
The learner is introduced to intaglio drypoint technique.
• The preparation and polishing of the plate.
• Beveling the plate and the characteristic plate mark.
• Sharpening and using of the dry-point needle.
• Inking, wiping and printing of the image onto the paper.

• Using the roller press.
