Learning Outcomes

This course will shed light on a particular selection  of modern and contemporary art discourse rooted within a Western context set during cultural and political strive. It will focus on the main art movements, artists, theories and theoretical debates that brought dramatic changes in the understanding and making of art from the onset of WWI up until today. This course will be accompanied by stimulating group discussions, occasional hands on art activities as well as gallery and studio visits.
