Most courses start at the beginning of October and finish towards the end of May. Further details regarding specific courses are indicated in the schedules on the homepage. No lessons are held on public holidays and on scholastic year holidays. Scholastic year holidays are:

As Adult Learning Centres are hosted within State schools, lessons may be postponed if such a school has an activity that will be held after normal school hours, or if the school is closed due to a particular reason.
Courses may also be postponed or cancelled at the discretion of the Director for Research, Lifelong Learning and Employability.
