The Directorate for Lifelong Learning, and Employability (DLE) within the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research, and Innovation (MEYR) is organising a series of workshops as part of the Active Citizen Education (ACE) programme.

These sessions, held in partnership with NGOs such as Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, Richmond Foundation, Friends of the Earth, and Fondazzjoni Rurali Manikata, have a clear goal of promoting active citizenship. The workshops address critical topics such as sustainability, democracy, gender equality, diversity and inclusion, mental health, and relationships. These subjects serve to empower students and play a crucial role in raising awareness and instigating a positive change in society.

By participating in these activities, attendees learn how to define the terms active citizenship and democracy, citizens’ rights, and inclusion, explore the benefits of being an active citizen for oneself and society, and identify one or more actions one can take to become an active citizen.

Everyone aged 15 and above may visit our Events section to learn about future ACE events.
