Our Vision

To foster a culture of lifelong learning that empowers individuals to acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed for active citizenship, personal fulfilment, and employability throughout their lives. Our vision is based on the National Lifelong Learning Strategy 2023-2030 which is part of the wider National Education Strategy 2024-2030.

Quality Assurance

As the National Coordinator for the European Agenda for Adult Learning, the Directorate strives to continuously improve the quality of adult teaching and learning in Malta. The DLE constantly seeks to improve coordination in the sector, so that it increases participation in all types of adult learning, whether in a formal or informal setting, whether for the acquisition of work skills, for active citizenship, or for personal development.
