Spanish Conversation Level 2

Entry Requirements

Learners who are currently following or who have followed the course Spanish MQF Level 2.

Duration

14-week course with 2 contact hours per week.

Learning Outcomes

Expected learning outcomes for this course inlcude:

Knowledge
• Understand common vocabulary, simple phrasal structures and language used in everyday communication
• Recognise language used to express opinions, suggestions, feelings and comparisons
• Develop awareness of acceptable pronunciation and intonation in spoken interaction
• Understand basic language related to past and future events and situations

Skills
• Discuss familiar topics by developing simple ideas and giving reasons for opinions
• Ask and answer questions and exchange information using simple language
• Make suggestions, proposals and respond appropriately to others
• Compare people, objects and situations using simple expressions
• Express feelings, opinions, agreement and disagreement using fixed phrases
• Ask for clarification using simple questions and expressions
• Speak about past or future events with limited support

Competences
• Communicate effectively in familiar everyday situations using simple spoken language
• Participate in short social exchanges and discussions with support when necessary
• Respond appropriately in conversations by accepting, declining or reacting to situations
• Demonstrate growing confidence in spoken interaction using understandable pronunciation and vocabulary

A letter of attendance will be issued to learners who attend at least 80% of the course.

Progression to Further Education

After successfully completing this course, learners can continue to study Spanish SEC Level and Spanish Conversation Level 3.
