I had a small business, and when I realised I could study entrepreneurship, I decided to enrol in this course to strengthen my business and build something new. It turned out to be a very interesting course, and you don’t need any prior knowledge in the field to take it, because the educators guide you to build a business from scratch.

The fact that it was online really encouraged me, as it saved me from having to drive and deal with traffic.  I even attended the lesson on my laptop in the car while waiting during my daughter’s activities. There was constant interaction between the participants and the educators, which kept me motivated to continue.

If you don’t take this course, you’ll never discover what you’re capable of.  I highly recommend enrolling for this course because it can take you further than you ever thought possible.

Learner - Entrepreneurship

I’ve always wanted to do something artistic and hands-on. This year, while I was looking through the prospectus, I saw that the Fretwork course was being offered, and I immediately felt encouraged to apply. When you’re starting out, it can feel a bit overwhelming but only until you get used to the tools and techniques. Once you begin to find your rhythm, you start to truly appreciate the beauty of craftsmanship. During the course, we were like a family: we learned from one another and from each other’s experiences. You get to explore different techniques and continue developing your skills.

I have been working with different media for around four years to produce jewellery. There are many things you can create from simple pieces to more elaborate ornaments. In jewellery, there are many materials you can use and combine together. Here you will find information that is hard to find anywhere else, because you don’t just come to learn, but also become part of a community.

Learner - Beading Techniques

I had always wanted to take this course, because I never had the opportunity to do so when I was younger. The course gave me a lot of information, particularly about human behaviour and how we interact within society. I believe it is important to keep your mind active, even as you grow older.

The educators are excellent, and the colleagues attending this course participated actively, making learning more interesting. Before starting something new, a person may feel apprehensive, but once you take the first step, things begin to take their course almost automatically. This is because the educators support and encourage you to keep moving forward.

Since I chose Malta as my home, it would be fair to learn a bit more about its language and the culture.

The educators are always very supportive. It is the perfect way to connect with Maltese people and learn about the culture.  It’s definitely worthwhile, even if it feels challenging at first.

Learner - Maltese as a Foreign Language

I already had two university degrees, but I wasn’t confident about my English, especially in a business context. This course helped me improve my level and increased my confidence in conversations, so that I can communicate more effectively at work.

I believe that it’s very important to take opportunities like this when they come up, as they help you improve your English. This has definitely been a valuable experience for me.

The course is about different religions, and it is fascinating, because even if you meet someone from a different culture, you can understand their religion. For example, I learned that Hindu religious rituals include not only singing, as in the Catholic Mass, but also dancing. I need to manage my work and family, and this self-paced course was ideal for me because I can do it calmly, at a time that suits me. What you learn is for yourself, and no one can take that away from you.

Learner - Exploring Different Religious and Secular Traditions and Worldviews

I have always been intrigued by psychology, and this subject really appeals to me especially because it focuses on well-being. The course includes emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects in a holistic way. You don’t feel you are in this course alone, because the educator really helps you and responds to your questions, while it is also insightful to learn from the comments of the other participants.

The course was very positive. The online setting was well-organised and convenient. Being Italian, I wanted to learn English to improve my job prospects and to enable my family and I to integrate better here. I’m looking forward to learning more!
